Norway’s TTS Marine ASA, Bergen, has completed the acquisition of Germany’s Kocks GmbH, Bremen, with effect from 1 October 2005.
The German company will change its name to TTS Kocks GmbH, the same applies to TTS Kocks Ostrava s.r.o, the 100% owned subsidiary in the Czech Republic, and TTS Kocks GmbH Korea Co. Ltd., a joint venture company (50%) in Korea. The companies, which supply winches to ships, will represent a new division within TTS - Deck Machinery.
The new Divisional Director of Deck Machinery is Edgar Bethmann, presently Managing Director of TTS Ships Equipment GmbH. Bethmann will also take over as Managing Director of TTS Kocks GmbH and, for the time being, will remain as Managing Director of TTS Ships Equipment GmbH. Edgar Bethmann (48) has been Managing Director of TTS Ships Equipment GmbH since 1999, the company having excellent prospects with a considerable number of orders in hand, equivalent to a two year’s operations.
